Their latest slump came at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who defeated them 44-38 in another disappointing game for the Bengals. cry
During their game recap, Sharpe questioned Johnson’s confidence regarding Cincinnati’s prospects in the 2024 NFL season, which will almost certainly not include postseason games. Chad was saddened by the harsh comments, and the co-host of “Nightcap” began to cry as a result of his old team’s poor play. “Ocho, how are you going to go for a run when your defense is historically bad? “And if you give them points on your possession, don’t cry,” the former Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens tight end stated. “You’re right,” Ochocinco said with tears in his eyes. “Oh no, don’t cry, don’t cry, you ain’t crying yet, Chad, don’t let them fool you, you should be crying.” continued Sharpe. “We are going to be fine,” stated Ochocinco. “No, you all aren’t. Next year, you’ll be fine. Man, you know you got people in Cincinnati believing you when you stated, “Ocho said we’d be fine.” Everyone isn’t only eating cold cuts and hot dogs anymore.” said Sharpe.

“Y’all got Ocho crying, Bengals,” remarked the NFL Hall of Fame player. Finally, Sharpe showed mercy on his co-host. I offered him some tissue paper to wipe away his tears. Bengals’ problems continued against the Steelers.
The Bengals scored the most points this season against the NFL’s fourth-best scoring defense on Sunday, thanks to another brilliant day from quarterback Joe Burrow, but it wasn’t enough to stop Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson’s second-best passing day of his career in Pittsburgh’s 44-38 victory at Paycor Stadium. Wilson completed 29 of 38 throws for 414 yards and three touchdowns, while his defensive line forced three turnovers, including a fumble return for a touchdown, as the Steelers broke open a 21-21 game. Burrow also threw three touchdowns and finished 28 of 38 for 309 yards, giving him his ninth triple-digit passer rating of the season (112.7).
