Fulham are possibly the biggest surprise of the Premier League season, now sitting eighth after drawing with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham and defeating Brighton in their past four matches.
Marco Silva’s side has had their greatest ever start to a Premier League season and will be trying to exceed or equal their best ever finish, when they finished seventh in 2008/09.
Part of this success can be attributed to one Fulham player, who has revealed that he knows there is interest in him as the January transfer window approaches.
Antonee Robinson has received plaudits for his efforts for Fulham this season, both offensively and defensively, and he has confessed that other clubs are interested in him.
“I am extremely pleased here. It’s encouraging that other teams are interested. Obviously, it all boils down to whether someone wants me enough to pay what Fulham is asking. “So, if the club thinks it’s a good idea, I’d leave,” Robinson told Marca.
Antonee Robinson had two assists in his team’s 2-2 tie with Liverpool at Anfield last weekend, and Marc Silva was quick to praise his left back’s performance, in which he won the most duels, created the most chances, and made the most interceptions.
Silva stated, “It is impossible to describe a performance like this, but I reiterate, it is not the first time.
“Not easy to come here playing against a player like (Mo) Salah, the way normally they like to expose the left-back.”
Robinson’s performances have sparked attention from the majority of the traditional Big Six clubs, despite the fact that his contract with Fuham runs until 2028.
The Fulham manager, who is now placed 34th on FourFourTwo’s ranking of the top managers in the world, clearly does not see Robinson leaving as a good idea, as he stated, “I don’t want to talk too much about him, because I know the same story will repeat itself next January.”
“Robinson is very focused and we must keep him like that for as long as possible.”
The 27-year-old will be watched closely throughout the upcoming transfer window, and FourFourTwo believes Liverpool would be a good fit for the American given Andy Robertson’s and Kostas Tsimikas’ recent poor performances.
