SHOCKING NEWS : Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and high school football standout, has announces retirement from football

Brock Vandagriff, a former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and high school football standout, has retired, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. Vandagriff declined to use his final season of eligibility at Kentucky and did not join the transfer portal. A spokesman for the University of Kentucky confirmed Vandagriff’s decision. Vandagriff was a five-star prospect who attended Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, just outside of Athens. He played three seasons with the Bulldogs before transferring to Kentucky. In 2023, he played eight games as a reserve, completing 12 of 18 throws for 165 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback also rushed five times for 39 yards. He played three games in 2022 and two in 2021.

Vandagriff was named the 2020 AJC Georgia High School Football Player of the Year.
