Antonio Williams is coming back. Clemson’s leading receiver will return to school for his senior season in 2025 rather than declaring early for the NFL Draft, he revealed on Friday. “More to be done,” Williams commented on social media.

Now, he’s returning for 2025, teaming up with senior quarterback Cade Klubnik and sophomore receiver Bryant Wesco Jr.

Antonio Williams’ Clemson Career Williams, 20, was named a freshman All-American by several publications after leading Clemson in receiving yards as a true freshman in 2022. In 2023, he only appeared in four games due to numerous ailments and took a redshirt year. However, the Irmo native and Dutch Fork High School graduate emerged as a junior. He became only the fourth Clemson player since 2000 to score a passing, rushing, and receiving touchdown in the same season, averaged the most punt return yards by a Tiger since 2017, and had the team’s first 75-catch season since 2020. Williams is one of only 13 Clemson players to have 150 career receptions. He also caught a pass.

As a senior, he will have a chance to match Hunter Renfrow’s school record for consecutive games with a catch (43) after playing in all 33 games. Although these two are more difficult to reach, Williams will enter his senior season within striking distance of two more important Clemson marks. His 153 career catches are 92 short of Artavis Scott’s record 245, while his 17 career receiving touchdowns are ten short of the school record 27 held by three players (DeAndre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, and Tee Higgins).
