Arizona State will regain one of its top offensive weapons next season.
Jordyn Tyson, a redshirt sophomore wide receiver, stated Monday on social media that he will return next year.
“Run it back!” Thank you, Sun Devil Nation. This is for you!” Tyson wrote about X.
Tyson enjoyed a career season in 2024, catching 75 passes for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns before injuring his collarbone in the second half of the Nov. 30 game against Arizona. He missed the entire postseason. The Sun Devils will welcome back the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year, who had five games of 100 yards receiving. One of his biggest games came against Kansas State on November 16, when he posted 12 catches for 176 yards.
Two touchdowns.
In his first six games, he had 25 receptions for 369 yards and four touchdowns. In his last six games, he has 50 receptions for 732 yards and six touchdowns. Running back Cam Skattebo and center Leif Fautanu are out of eligibility for next season, thus ASU’s offense will lose a few crucial players. ASU used the winter transfer portal to counter Skattebo’s departure by adding Army running back Kanye Udoh.

Despite Tyson’s absence on offense, the Sun Devils made an unlikely run to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals before falling to Texas in a disputed double-overtime loss, 39-31.
