The Philadelphia Eagles have formally agreed to terminate the 24-year-old’s contract following the playoffs.

Will the Eagles cut connections with their young receiver? The Philadelphia Eagles are just days away from beginning their journey to the Super Bowl.

Philadelphia will meet the Green Bay Packers at home on Sunday, January 12, with a chance to advance to the Divisional Round. If the Eagles win against the Packers, they will face either the Washington Commanders or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the playoffs.

The Eagles aim to make a deep run this season, but there will be a lot of decisions to make afterwards. Some clubs have already started the offseason, but Philadelphia’s attention remains on the playoffs.

However, this postseason run could be the last for some Eagles players. Devon Platana of FanSided compiled a list of four players who could leave Philadelphia following the playoffs. One guy they mentioned was Jahan Dotson, a teenage receiver.Jahan Dotson Stats, News and Video - WR | NFL.com

“The 24-year-old wide receiver has done nothing but disappoint Philadelphia fans after being acquired from the rival Washington Commanders last offseason,” says Platana. “Even though he showed promise during his two seasons with the NFC East opponent, Dotson was essentially unnoticed this season until Week 18, with 12 catches for 122 yards and no touchdowns in 16 games with the Eagles…Jahan Dotson and 4 former Commanders who have floundered in 2024

“Even though he hasn’t been with the franchise for a year, Dotson might be leaving this offseason. If the Eagles aren’t confident that he can fulfill his full potential in Philadelphia, Spotrac predicts that they can avoid paying Dotson’s entire $2.75 million salary if they sell him before the 2025 season. If he fails to make an impact in the playoffs, don’t be surprised if the Eagles try to trade Dotson this summer or even sooner.”

Dotson is only 24 years old and had his finest game of the season in Week 18, with seven catches for 94 yards. Could he be one-and-done in Philly?
