BRAEKING NEWS : Paul Finebaum says what every Georgia football fan is thinking on Mike Bobo.

Paul Finebaum is listening to Georgia fans. Georgia football fans greatly adore Paul Finebaum. Okay, maybe it’s the contrary, but even someone who normally says the complete opposite of what UGA supporters believe will occasionally say something they agree with. That’s exactly what happened on Tuesday, when Finebaum discussed Georgia’s Offensive Coordinator, Mike Bobo.

Georgia supporters have been critical of Bobo’s performance with the UGA offense this season. The Bulldogs’ loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl exemplifies why.

Bobo did not call the game in such a way that Georgia’s players had the best chance of winning. He did not scheme well in the run game, and his passing game left much to be desired as well. Georgia fans were so disappointed with his performance in the Sugar Bowl that they demanded his resignation immediately following the game.

Finebaum recognized this and publicly expressed how most Georgia fans feel.

Will Mike Bobo be in Athens next year?
This is the question on everyone’s mind moving into the offseason. Will Bobo remain on Kirby Smart’s staff next season?

Right now, it’s impossible to say because Smart and Bobo have a long relationship that may be difficult to end. Also, firing a coach after winning the SEC and qualifying for the College Football Playoff seems a little ridiculous. But, at the end of the day, Georgia’s objectives are far greater than either of these. Georgia hopes to win a national championship every season, therefore if someone isn’t performing well enough to do it, they may be let go.

It’ll be fascinating to watch if Smart moves. Whether or not to continue from Bobo. The most likely consequence is that Bobo remains on the staff next season, but if Georgia fans had their way, he would most certainly be far gone by the time UGA takes the field next autumn.
