Dallas Mavericks fans voice Klay Thompson frustration Warriors fans never endured

What’s happening in Dallas? As the Golden State Warriors found themselves woefully outmatched against the reigning champion Boston Celtics, they can take heart in the fact that a Western Conference opponent also lost on Martin Luther King Day.

The Dallas Mavericks, still without superstar Luka Doncic, suffered an unexpected 110-105 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. The Mavericks have lost nine of their last 12 games, dropping to 23-20 in the tight Western Conference.

Mavericks supporters vented dissatisfaction with former Warriors guard Klay Thompson.
Dallas received 33 points from Kyrie Irving and a monstrous 31-point 15-rebound performance from Daniel Gafford, but former Warriors Klay Thompson was unable to recover after a six-point outing against Oklahoma City.Mavericks fans voice Klay Thompson frustration Warriors fans never endured

Thunderstorms are expected on Friday. Thompson finished with seven points, two rebounds, two assists, and three turnovers in nearly 30 minutes of play, including a missed potential game-tying three-pointer in the waning seconds.

Thompson did not necessarily shoot the Mavericks out of the game; rather, he simply did not receive many looks. The five-time All-Star took only five shots throughout the game, leaving fans frustrated with Thompson’s teammates’ failure to locate him on offense. After Doncic was hurt on Christmas Day against the Minnesota Timberwolves, it was reasonable to expect Thompson to have more opportunities as Dallas relied more on him offensively.
