Eagles return to the NFL to hire their new coach.It only took Boston College a week to find a new defensive line coach. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Eagles want to hire Jordan Thomas, the Cleveland Browns’ assistant defensive line coach, as their new defensive line coach. He will replace Jeff Comissiong, who is no longer on the squad.
Thomas, who previously worked with Mike Vrabel and the Browns, was recommended by the current New England Patriots head coach and close friend of Bill O’Brien. Thomas has been with the Browns in this position since 2022, working alongside players such as Myles Garrett. Thomas, a San Diego State alumnus and originally from Redlands, California, spent his post-playing days at Texas. In 2017, he worked as a graduate assistant at A&M-Kingsville, then as a graduate assistant at San Diego State University from 2018 to 2019, and then as the defensive line coach there from 2020 to 2021. During his career at SDSU, his defense was among the NCAA top in total defense (third in 2020) and rushing defense. With the departures of key players Donovan Ezeiruaku, Neto Okpala, and Cam Horsley, Boston College’s defensive line will look different in 2025. The Eagles also added DT Chuck Nnaeto, EDGE rushers Favor Bate, and Onye Nwosisi. A handful of true freshmen will be added to the roster, including defensive tackle: Micah Amedee and Sterling
Sanders and London Seymour. The Eagles signed Jayden Fry and Israel Oladipupo to their EDGE roster.
