DONE DEAL : Detroit Lions confirm the trade of 3 key players including former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star

Allen Park — Following the rookie minicamp sessions held over the weekend, the Detroit Lions signed three players and released another.

They have signed defensive lineman Raequan Williams, wide receiver Malik Taylor, and tight end Luke Deal. Williams was a former great defensive lineman at Michigan State, and Taylor attended Ferris State University.

Deal played six seasons at Auburn and was a two-time captain. He was an undrafted rookie coming out of the draft, whereas Williams and Taylor had previous experience in the league. Williams has played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carolina Panthers. Taylor, a Flint native, spent three years with the Green Bay Packers,

two with the New York Jets, and broke into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019. The Lions waived tight end Caden Prieskorn while announcing the trio of signings. The Lions had two freeLions sign 3 tryout players from minicamp, including former Michigan State  DL - mlive.com roster spots entering the day, courtesy to the exemption acquired from picking Boise State edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein. These additions, along with Prieskorn getting waived, put the franchise at the 90-player limit.
