Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has stated that Michael Hector is ‘not far’ from returning.
Charlton Athletic has been without the defense recently owing to injuries.
Hector, 31, has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the League One club this season, with 24 of those coming in the league.
Jones has issued an update on his status, as well as the most recent news on Chuks Aneke and Panutche Camara, according to the official club website: “We’re expecting Chuks, Panutche, and Hec to return soon. It provides us with excellent depth, and everyone else is fit, making it difficult to select an 11 and a bench. We desire those conundrums.

Having Hector back will be a significant boost for Charlton as they attempt to maintain their third-tier position. They return to action this evening with a home game against Lincoln City, looking to rebound from their loss at Reading last time out.
The Addicks have been in dismal form recently, but new manager Jones will be looking to keep them from relegation to League Two.
They are 20th in the table, just outside the bottom four on goal difference with Port Vale.
Hector brings valuable experience to Charlton, having joined the club in January 2023 before having his contract extended by a year last summer. His contract expires in late June, and they need to make a choice about his long-term future.
Prior to joining The Valley, he spent three years on Fulham’s books and played 40 games for the Whites.
The Jamaican international, who has 38 caps, progressed through the Reading ranks before joining Chelsea from 2015 to 2019.
Hector had brief spells away from Stamford Bridge with Eintracht Frankfurt, Hull City, and Sheffield Wednesday.
Charlton must win tonight’s game against Lincoln in order to stop their relegation. The Imps defeated Fleetwood Town 2-1 in their previous game.
