The NFL waited until Monday to declare that it would punish a Kansas City Chiefs player for an illegal play in the team’s Super Bowl triumph over the San Francisco 49ers.

Analysts predicted that Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed would face fines for Super Bowl offenses.
The league waited until Presidents Day to punish Bolton.
Nick Bolton received a heavy fine.
Smith said that the NFL fined Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton up to $8,000 for a horse-collar tackle during Super Bowl LVIII.
Bolton was called for a horse-collar tackle on 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy in the second quarter of the game. And now the NFL has confirmed that Bolton has been fined $8,238 for the violation.
