READING FC is anticipating to receive another points reduction from the English Football League (EFL) due to late payments to HMRC.
The Royals have already lost four points this season for failing to pay workers on schedule in 202. They have been deducted a total of 16 points during the ownership of Dai Yongge, who took over the team in 2017.
A further two-point deduction will bring the total number of points deducted from the team to 18 during Dai Yongge’s tenure.
Ruben Selles’ side has been in good form in recent months, rising to 16th in the table, but a further deduction would take them closer to the relegation zone.
It is suspected that the owner has been late in paying HMRC bills for more than 100 days over the last year, which exceeds the maximum of 80 days per EFL regulations.
Reading has just 11 League One games left to try to preserve their place in the division.
