Georgia has received its first commitment for the 2026 recruiting class, as quarterback Jared Curtis committed to the Bulldogs on Saturday. Curtis, a high school student, has already signed his first NIL contract after his pledge.
Leaf Trading Cards introduced Curtis’ very own signed playing card. Leaf Trading Cards’ website lists the item for $79.99, making it available to fans.
Curtis isn’t the only high-profile high school recruit to sign with the organization; 2025 QB Julian Lewis also signed for his own card.
Because Curtis plays high school football in Tennessee, he has an advantage against NIL. In December 2023, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association followed suit with other high school associations. The rule allows high school students to sign NIL agreements before enrolling in college.
According to the 247sports composite rankings, Curtis is the best quarterback and player in Tennessee, as well as the ninth best in the nation.
The quarterback’s pledge came in the middle of some unpleasant news for the Bulldogs on the recruiting trail: 2025 defensive lineman Justus Terry de- Georgia also committed to USC over the weekend. Isaiah Gibson, a 2025 target for the Bulldogs, also committed to the Trojans this weekend.
