Jaxx DeJean, the younger brother of an Iowa football standout, has begun his recruitment process with a scholarship offer from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He just traveled to Iowa City to witness a Hawkeye spring practice as he weighs his options. As a multi-talented athlete, Prep Redzone has placed him as Iowa’s top Class of 2027 prospect, and several other programs are interested in him.

As a ninth-grader, he completed 37 passes for 500 yards and seven touchdowns, while also making 25 solo tackles and interceptions on defense.
State of Play
Jaxx DeJean has summer camp invitations from Iowa, Wisconsin, and North Dakota.
He intends to attend a camp at Iowa this summer and expects to return for games in the fall.
Jaxx DeJean plans to display his skills at a camp in June and explore other opportunities.
