According to the Swansea Independent, Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff is attracting interest from Swansea City and Plymouth Argyle.
Swansea City manager Luke Williams knows the attacker well from their time at Notts County. However, they will face competition from rival Championship club Plymouth Argyle for his signature this summer. Langstaff, 27, was recently selected Meadow Lane’s new captain for next season. However, the Magpies may still have a battle to keep him in the forthcoming transfer window, given interest from higher up the football pyramid.
According to the Swansea Independent, signing him remains a ‘priority’ for Williams at Swansea City over the next couple of months as he attempts to improve his ranks. He is also keen
about Jodi Jones.

Langstaff scored 36 goals in 62 games for Gateshead between 2020 and 2022, when Notts County signed him.
He has subsequently continued his goal-scoring exploits with the Magpies, netting 71 times in 97 games, 27 of which occurred last season.
Stuart Maynard’s selection as captain gives the ex-Middlesbrough academy player even more confidence. It doesn’t mean he’ll stay, and it’d be difficult to stop him if a club from two leagues higher came in. Williams worked wonders with Langstaff at Notts County and could see him as a boost to Swansea City’s attacking department.
The Welsh side could use some reinforcements in the coming months as they try to battle higher up the league in the second division next season.
Plymouth Argyle have also been suggested as possible suitors. They have signed Rooney, a former Derby County and Birmingham City player, as a permanent replacement for Steven Schumacher.
The Pilgrims may have recognized Langstaff as someone who could improve the quality of their hitting options. They stayed up on the final day of the previous season by defeating Hull City 1-0 at Home Park.
Notts County’s newest
Notts County will be trying to keep their primary man, but they will have to make a choice if an offer is received.
Their new captain is under contract until 2027, so there is no pressure to sell him.
