Cambridge United has confirmed the loan acquisition of Vicente Reyes, a 20-year-old goalkeeper, for the 2024/25 season. Reyes joins from Norwich City, where he moved from Atlanta United last summer.
Reyes went on loan to Braintree Town and Forest Green Rovers during his debut season with Norwich. His performances at Forest Green earned him Player of the Month honors in April.
Reyes has represented Chile at the U17, U20, and U23 levels, and has recently joined the first team. He was a member of the pre-Olympic Tournament squad and was named to the Copa America preliminary roster.
“I am really excited to join the club,” Reyes stated.
“It’s a significant step forward in my development as a player, and I intend to assist the squad in any way I can. The manager’s and club’s vision is quite outstanding, and I’m excited to be a part of it this season.”
Cambridge United manager Garry Monk highlighted his excitement over the new signing: “Vicente is an extremely talented goalkeeper, and I am delighted that he has joined us for the coming season.” He comes with enormous ambition and will make the team as competitive as possible.”
