REPORTS : Portsmouth are now close to announced the signing of another 28 years old potential star .

Pompey will not pursue a move for Josh Dacres-Cogley.
According to The News, there is no substance to reports that the Blues are interested in bringing the Bolton player to Fratton Park this summer.

According to reports this morning, Pompey have made an enquiry for the right-back as they continue their summer transfer business. After a successful season for the Trotters following his transfer from Tranmere last summer, the 28-year-old is claimed to have been offered a £500,00

Pompey, on the other hand, are not interested in signing Dacres-Cogley because their playing budget is already allocated elsewhere. Jordan Williams joined as the first signing of the summer, having left Barnsley after six years this summer.

Williams is expected to be the starting right-back in John Mousinho’s squad, as there is no reason to spend much on another player in that position. Mousinho has mentioned utilizing Terry Devlin in that role after the midfielder demonstrated his potential in that area of the pitch last season.

That would allow Pompey to concentrate their resources on other parts of the pitch, with a slew of signings still needed this summer. 0 fee.

Despite the club’s decision not to exercise the 12-month option in his contract this summer, Mousinho has hinted that Zak Swanson’s future with Fratton remains open.

This summer, the Blues have signed five new players, including Williams, Josh Murphy, Reuben Swann, Jordan Archer, and Sammy Silvera.
