Matt Hobbs was caught on camera conversing with new addition Jorgen Strand Larsen, and supporters will enjoy what the sporting director said to the striker.
Wolves signed the Norwegian international last week from Celta Vigo. The team has signed him on loan, and the deal will become permanent provided he makes a certain amount of games for the club.
Strand Larsen is a guy the Wolves have been keeping an eye on for a long time, and the moment was perfect this summer to make a move.
Fans are quite excited to see him in action. Gary O’Neil has been looking for a new number nine for some time, and Strand Larsen has the potential to be a huge success in English football.
Wolves released footage of Strand Larsen’s first day at Compton Park, as well as Pedro Lima, and there is one particularly interesting discussion between him and Matt Hobbs.

O’Neil was forced to rely on young players due to injuries to key players such as Matheus Cunha, Hwang Hee-chan, Pedro Neto, and Craig Dawson.

However, O’Neil shown that this team has significant promise.
If he is supported this summer, as he has been so far, Wolves may be able to dream of finishing much further up the table in 2024/25. Matt Hobbs clearly wants to believe it’s feasible.
In Wolves’ video of Strand Larsen’s first day at Compton, the 24-year-old informs the sports director that the team’s passion struck him last season.
Hobbs is then heard encouraging the striker: “Have a push for Europe, that’s the plan.”
It’s nice to hear some ambition. This will go down well with the fans.
It is encouraging to hear Hobbs remark that pushing for Europe will be the goal this season.
There’s no reason Wolves can’t do this. Last season, we witnessed the team’s potential. The players have completely bought into O’Neil, who has demonstrated his ability to orchestrate results against the strongest sides in the Premier League.

Decisions also went against the Wolves. Wolves have done some excellent business thus far, and if the club can retain key players such as Rayan Ait-Nouri, Joao Gomes, and Neto, European football could be within reach.
It’s good to hear someone in a high-level position at Wolves openly discuss aiming for Europe.
