Cambridge United has appointed Jason Euell as their Assistant Head Coach.
The 47-year-old former footballer has joined Garry Monk’s coaching staff as Assistant Head Coach, joining Barry Corr, following Kevin Betsy’s departure earlier this week.
After a great playing career as a forward at Wimbledon and Charlton, Euell moved into teaching in 2012, spending eight years with the Addicks as U16s Lead Coach, then U23s Lead Coach, and finally First Team Coach.
During his time at Charlton, he helped develop a number of players, including Ezri Konsa, Ademola Lookman, and Joe Aribo, among others.
Euell has previously coached the England U18s and U20s, and his most recent position was at Bristol City, where he worked under Nigel Pearson.
“I am very pleased and looking forward to the challenge,” Euell told me. “Knowing that I’m joining an ambitious club that does things the correct way is a terrific chance for me.
“It’s a good time to join as we go through pre-season. I’m excited to come to work and get to know all of the players and staff.”

The Club has also confirmed the recruitment of Jack Manuel as Head of Performance, Callum Martin as Individual Coach & Pathways Manager, and Jamie Cozens as Kit Manager.
