The Millers’ manager has told the Rotherham Advertiser that he will pay for the 7,001st season ticket sold by the club, as well as deposit money behind the bar for the season opening. Following in Viktor Johansson’s footsteps:

Opinion: Steve Evans often faces criticism from opposing fans. However, this is a wonderful gift from him.

Fans are the cogs that any football team could not function without, and it is always a pleasure when management and players recognize this. Johansson’s gesture at the end of his Rotherham United career was appropriate, as is this from the returning cult-hero manager.
