On Monday, the Cleveland Monsters announced that Curtis Hall, the Boston Bruins’ 2018 fourth-round draft pick, has signed an AHL contract for the 2024-25 season. Last season, Hall had 22 combined appearances for the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins and Providence Bruins, totaling 2-4-6 with eight penalty minutes and a +5 rating, as well as 11-9-20 with a +2 rating for the ECHL’s Maine Mariners. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound center scored six goals, ten assists, and 24 penalty minutes in 124 career AHL appearances with Providence and Grand Rapids from 2020 to 2024, as well as 16 goals, nine assists, five penalty minutes, and a +4 rating in 30 career ECHL appearances for Maine from 2022 to 2024, covering parts of two seasons.
Prior to his professional career, Hall played 52 NCAA games for Yale University from 2018-20, scoring 22 goals and 16 assists with 55 penalty minutes and a +15 rating. In his second season, Hall was named to the ECAC Second All-Star Team and the All-Ivy League Second Team. Hall scored 20 goals and 32 assists in 113 career USHL appearances for the Youngstown Phantoms from 2016 to 2018, along with 60 penalty minutes and a +3 rating. He was named to the 2016-17 USHL All-Rookie Second Team. Hall additionally represented Team USA at the 2020 IIHF U20 World Junior Championship.
All five players selected by Boston in the 2018 NHL Draft are no longer with the organization. Jakub Lauko was the lone NHL player for the Bruins from that draft, and was dealt to the Minnesota Wild on June 29, 2024.
