The Team USA captain had the appropriate reaction to Simone Biles earning yet another gold medal at the Gimnastics Olympic Games. Simone Biles created American Olympic history by capturing yet another gold medal in the Gymnastics All-Around competition. There are several reasons why Simone created history. The first is because she is the oldest gymnast to win the All-Around Gold Medal since 1976. Before her, every champion in the previous 48 years had been under the age of twenty. Biles is now 27 years old. Several of sports’ most prominent figures responded to her victory, but the most subtle came from none other than LeBron James himself. As he posted a photograph. LeBron James also shared an image of a goat as part of her accomplishment. To those who are unaware or live under a rock, the goat represents the global picture of the ‘Greatest Of All Time’. Simone Biles fits that
description well for LeBron James. James’ post appeared on his Instagram Stories, and he made a major statement with it, which Simone Biles undoubtedly noticed. Simone now has six Olympic gold medals after winning the team and singles all-around competitions. Despite this incredible performance, Simone Biles is still a long way from Michael Phelps’ 23 gold medals. Nobody will ever be able to reach the heights that Phelps did.
Simone Biles passed the legendary Anton Heida.
Thank you for watching!
Simone Biles ranks relatively low among American Olympians, which includes legends such as Mark Spitz, Carl Lewis, Jenny Thompson, Katie Ledecky, Matt Biondi, Caleb Dressel, and Ryan Lochte, among others. However, gymnasts do not often win many gold medals over their careers. In fact, since 1904, the famous Anton Heida has held the record for the most gold medals won by an American gymnast at the Olympics. Simone Biles just smashed a 120-year-old record at the Olympics. So, yes, LeBron James’ appraisal of his compatriot is accurate. Biles has already won nine Olympic medals between her participations in Rio de Janeiro.
The games will be place in Tokyo and Paris.
