JUST IN : NL Central Team Named Threat To Steal Cleveland Guardians’ Star

An NL Central team may try to sign a Cleveland Guardians star during MLB free agency. The Cleveland Guardians are currently among the top teams in baseball. They are 72-49 going into Friday’s games. By record, they are currently baseball’s top team.

While they are top-tier World Series contenders, and all eyes are on the regular season’s stretch run, the front management is most likely already thinking about the future.
Looking ahead to the MLB offseason, the Guardians will face a critical decision.

Shane Bieber, the team’s ace who has missed the majority of the 2024 season due to injury, will enter MLB free agency. Cleveland will have to determine whether or

They are going to resign him. He will not come cheap.

It appears that several teams will be interested in snatching Bieber away. One of these teams could be the St. Louis Cardinals. Curt Bishop of The Sporting News believes the Cardinals should attempt to sign Bieber this offseason.

“Bieber won the Cy Young Award in 2020, but he hasn’t been the same pitcher since, thanks in large part to injuries. But if he can get healthy and the Cardinals decide to sign him, he will be a valuable addition to the team’s rotation.”

Bieber made a fantastic start to the 2024 season before injuries cut his season short. Because of the injury, he was obliged to get Tommy John surgery.

Bieber went 2-0 in his two starts, with a 0.00 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 20.0 K/BB ratio, and 12.0 innings pitched.

Beginning in 2023, his studies will have a larger sample size. He made 21 starts and finished 6-6 with a 3.80 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 3.1 K/BB ratio, and 128.0 innings pitched.

Clearly, his numbers remained superior. It appears that the Guardians would rather keep him around. Will they be willing to pay the money, though, given Bieber’s recent critical injury?

If they hesitate, another team will try to swoop in and get him. That team may be Saint Louis.

Prepare to hear a

There is a lot of speculation and rumours about Bieber as the offseason approaches. If Cleveland wants to re-sign him, they must make a choice and plan ahead of time.
