Liverpool’s centre back There are still a lot of people talking about Joe Gomez’s future during the summer transfer window, less than two weeks before the deadline. The Englishman left Charlton Athletic in 2015 as a promising prospect to join Anfield.
Gomez has made 224 appearances for the Reds since relocating to Merseyside, showcasing his flexibility in the process. He has mostly played centre back and right back, but he has also played left back when necessary.
Gomez made 32 Premier League appearances for the team last season, however he only played the entire ninety minutes twelve times. His future is now in doubt due to his lack of playing time and the summer manager switch.
