The 2024 season will find the Baltimore Ravens with unresolved business. The Ravens suffered heartbreak in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, despite ending the regular season as the top overall seed.
Such defeats only serve as fuel for the following season, but could the Ravens be in business with a Tennessee Titans squad hoping to make their first postseason appearance since 2021?
The Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens might make an unexpected trade.
Malik Willis, who is now classified as the Tennessee Titans’ third quarterback, is one of the “10 NFL players who could be traded next,” according to Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports. Both the Los Angeles Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens had Willis labelled as a “potential fit”:
The former third-round pick, who was once thought to be Ryan Tannehill’s replacement, has apparently improved as a passer this summer, but he now appears to be locked in as the No. 3 behind rookie starter Will Levis and new backup Mason Rudolph. Even at 25, the Tennessee Titans will likely continue to respect his exceptional mobility, but a different team may be able to provide a direct backup option.
Seeing if the Ravens allocate some resources to their backup QB position would be fascinating. The Ravens presently have Josh Johnson listed as their QB2. After 2024, Johnson, who is 38 years old, might not be in the league for very long.
