DEPARTURE : Saudi club are now close in signing £60k-a-week Wolves star who featured in Arsenal defeat

Saudi club Al-Shabab is apparently interested in a Wolves player who appeared in the team’s first Premier League game against Arsenal.

Wanderers lost their first game against Arsenal on Saturday. Gary O’Neil’s team fell 2-0, but they played well in north London.

The hosts’ goals came from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka, but Wolves had solid chances through Jorgen Strand Larsen and Matheus Cunha.

Unfortunately, the cutting edge was missing in vital moments. However, O’Neil, like many other fans, was ecstatic with the team’s performance afterward.

Attention will now turn to the transfer market, and there is a chance that we could see some activity before the next game.

Daniel Podence may be departing. Al-Shabab has interested in Wolves winger Daniel Podence. Many Wolves fans are stunned to see Podence still playing for the club.

The narrative had long been that the player wanted to leave the club, with Olympiacos being the club with the greatest links.

Podence, of course, spent last season on loan with the Greek powerhouse.

People were even more stunned to see Podence play against Arsenal on Saturday. He came on for the final stages, replacing Rodrigo Gomes.

However, questions persist regarding his future, and writer Gianluigi Longari has made a new claim concerning the £60,000-a-week man.Daniel Podence - Player profile 24/25 | Transfermarkt

He stated on X last night that “Al-Shabab Club has shown interest in Wolverhampton WFC footballer Daniel #Podence.”

Podence was originally rumoured to be nearing a deal to Olympiacos. However, it appears that the 28-year-old has other options for vacations.

O’Neil must make a final plea to keep Podence. So Al-Shabab is now interested in Podence, but O’Neil should make one last push to keep him.

The manager has openly stated that he wants to work with Podence this season, but it appears that the player is still searching for a move elsewhere.

He has made significant contributions for Wolves throughout the years, and it would be a tragedy to see him leave. Obviously, he still has plenty.

to offer.

O’Neil should make a last-ditch effort to persuade him to stay, especially after the sale of Pedro Neto. If there is no opportunity and Podence wants a fresh challenge, Wolves will benefit from the fact that more than one team is involved. This should, in principle, help Wolves achieve a higher compensation for the player.
