BREAKING NEWS : Iowa Hawkeyes QB Has Agree New Destination Move In Transfer Portal

The Iowa Hawkeyes have lost a 2024 starting quarterback through the transfer portal. The Iowa Hawkeyes have officially lost quarterback Brendan Sullivan in the transfer portal after he committed to Tulane.

Sullivan played 10 games with the Hawkeyes, completing 71.7 percent of his passes for 475 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns on 47 carries. Sullivan played three games for Iowa and might become Tulane’s starting quarterback.

Mark Gronowski, a transfer portal addition, will likely start at quarterback for the Hawkeyes in 2025 season.

Gronowski completed 60.9% of his passes, totaling 2,721 yards, 23 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also carried for 380 yards and 10 touchdowns on 98 carries.

Iowa was 119th in NCAA football yards per game in 2024, with Sullivan as one of their starting quarterbacks.

While Sullivan’s departure weakens the quarterback room, he was unlikely to be the starter given Gronowski’s arrival via the transfer portal. This will be Sullivan’s third team in college, having played for Northwestern his first two years, Iowa the previous year, and Tulane this year.
