SAN ANTONIO: In what the police describe as a case of road rage, one man was taken into custody after he allegedly stabbed someone on San Antonio’s far west side.
An arrest document states that the individual, who has been named by authorities as Samtrell Smith, was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, San Antonio Police were called to the 13300 block of Culebra Road in response to reports of a cutting that was happening.
According to the police, Smith got out of his car and began pounding on the window of the other person’s car while traffic was halted. After getting out of his car, the victim started talking to Smith, who then used a knife to cut the victim’s face from ear to mouth, according to the police report.
Smith then took the gun and drove off.
Smith broke into another car that was recording video with its dash cam as he drove away from the scene. The individual connected to the vehicle was recognised after a license plate was seen in the footage.
To receive medical attention for his wounds, the victim was brought to University Hospital.
