JUST IN : Dolphins Ink Head Coach Mike McDaniel to Contract Extension

The Dolphins and Head Coach Mike McDaniel have agreed to a four-year contract extension that will keep the Fins Frontman with the team until the 2028 season. McDaniel is coming off consecutive playoff appearances. In 2023, the Dolphins had the league’s top offence under McDaniel, who was formerly the offensive and run coordinator. McDaniel, 41, has also had great success with Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa recently signed his own long-term contract, agreeing to a four-year, $214.4 million agreement in July. The organisation believes that this is the combo who will take Miami back to the Super Bowl. Miami is now one of the most exciting offensive teams in the NFL, thanks in large part to his innovative play-calling and strategic acumen.

McDaniel’s new contract is estimated to be between $3.5 million and $4.5 million per year, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in the league. He will now focus on the 2024 season, as the Dolphins aim to make the playoffs for the first time since 2000.
