BRAKING NEWS: Steph Curry leaves the door open to quitting the Warriors.

Steph Curry has played his entire career for the Golden State Warriors. He’s helped them win four NBA championships, established himself as the best shooter in NBA history, and transformed the organisation into one of the league’s most recognisable brands. Curry, 36, has begun to answer queries about his future, including if it will remain in the Bay Area.

During a recent appearance on “Today,” Curry expressed his intention to retire with the Warriors. However, he stopped short of guaranteeing that outcome, stating that he prioritises victory above all else.
“I certainly hope so,” Curry added. “I’m going into my 16th year and always said it’s a goal of mine to finish my career with that organisation that has seen me go through the ranks and accomplish amazing things with Draymond and I know Klay’s not with us anymore but…I wanna keep winning” Steph Curry leaves door open to leaving Warriors

The Warriors are in a state of turmoil. They lost one of their top veterans earlier this summer when Klay Thompson elected to depart in free agency and join the Dallas Mavericks. The front office has also been juggling two timelines, one in player development and the other in trying to compete. Those troubles caused the Warriors to miss the playoffs after losing to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament.

The Warriors spent the summer looking for a second All-Star to join Curry, but were unsuccessful. First, they were unable to lure Paul George away from the Los Angeles Clippers in a sign-and-trade deal. Then they failed to obtain Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz.

Fortunately, the Warriors have a store of tradeable assets. As a result, they’re likely only one move away from becoming a contender again, giving Curry enough motivation to spend his last years in the Bay Area.

Nonetheless, if the Warriors’ front staff chooses to stall future discussions, they may lose a couple more years with their greatest player. Curry may not be doing it explicitly, but his words are putting pressure on the front staff to find him an All-Star running partner.
