A man was tragically killed and two others injured in a major collision in Birmingham this morning. The incident occurred on the A45 Coventry Road, and motorists were told to ‘avoid the area.’The collision occurred near the junction of Berkeley Road in Yardley, with police tents set up today, Friday, July 26. Buses have also been redirected away from the location following the 6 a.m. incident.

Birmingham Police took to X and posted: “We’re currently dealing with a significant collision on Coventry Road, near the junction with Berkeley Road in Yardley. “Please avoid the area as much as possible.”
NX West Midlands stated: “Due to an incident on A45 Coventry Road near Heybarnes Circus, Services 60, X1, and X2 are diverting in both directions via Heybarnes Road, Hob Moor Road, Wash Lane, and Holder Road. Sorry for any inconvenience to your journey.”
