Max Verstappen has been embroiled in news conference controversies all weekend in Singapore. The FIA, the governing body of Formula One, has apparently made a judgment about Max Verstappen’s press conference antics.
Heading into the weekend, FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem urged a crackdown on swearing in the sport.
He explained: “We’re not rappers, you know. How many times do they say the F-word every minute? We’re not on that. That’s them, and we’re [us].
“We have to be cautious in our behavior. We need to be responsible individuals. And today, with technology, everything is going live and being filmed. At the end of the day, we have to evaluate that to determine whether we minimize what is
“being said publicly?” Ben Sulayem went on to say, “Imagine you’re sitting with your children watching the race and someone starts using foul language. I mean, what would your children and grandchildren say? “What would you teach them if that were your sport?”
On Friday, it was announced that reigning F1 world champion Verstappen was summoned to the stewards after saying, “The car was f**ked,” during a press conference.
As a result, the Dutchman has been assigned a “obligation to complete some work of public interest.”
Verstappen only provided brief answers following the qualifying session on Saturday, in what was described as one of the most embarrassing press conferences in history.

According to The Mirror, an FIA official stated: “No, he participated in the FIA Press Conference as required by the procedures.”
Verstappen commented on the event, saying, “It’s ridiculous to get a penalty for that.” When you insult someone, it is obvious, but I did not mean to offend anyone. It’s not the best way to progress in our sport.”
Hamilton agreed: “I think it’s a bit of a joke, to be honest.” This represents the top of the sport. Mistakes are made. I won’t do that, and I hope Max doesn’t either.
