BREAKING NEWS : WNBA Announces Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever Playoff Update

While Wednesday night’s game in Connecticut is critical for the Indiana Fever and a must-win, the WNBA has released important information on Caitlin Clark and the Fever’s probable playoff meeting in Indiana. To extend the series against the Sun to Game 3, the Fever must win on Wednesday; otherwise, their season would be over. Nonetheless, an updated playoff schedule for Game 3 (if necessary) was released on Monday. The Fever’s probable Game 3 clash in Indianapolis, which would be Caitlin Clark’s first home playoff game of her career, is planned for Friday at 7:30 PM Eastern time on ESPN2.

However, if the Fever are to force a third game, they will need to make radical alterations. After losing 93-69 on Sunday, they have now lost four of their previous five games against the Sun (including the regular season). This is a hard team, and head coach Christie Sides will need to make significant changes to extend the series.

Caitlin Clark must also improve her performance; she made only four of her 17 shots, totaling 11 points. Indiana must do a better job of creating space for Clark, who said after Sunday’s loss that they simply did not make shots.

A home playoff game for this club would be electrifying, potentially drawing one of the greatest audiences in WNBA history if they pull off the upset on Wednesday.
