Paul Mullin’s favourite Wrexham goals revealed as striker picks from his collection of 106

Paul Mullin has chosen his favourite goals from the 106 he has scored for Wrexham, and Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have plenty to celebrate.
What happened?
The prolific vocalist was one of the first marquee signings at SToK Racecourse after a spectacular takeover by two Hollywood superstars in 2021. After turning down a new contract at Cambridge, he was signed as a free agent, hence no transfer fee was paid.

Mullin’s contribution to Wrexham’s back-to-back promotions added remarkable value to the deal. He became a centennial on the goal front during the 2023-24 campaign, his route to collecting a third successive Player of the Year award in North Wales, and has one effort to his name this year.

term upon return from summer surgery. WHAT MULLIN SAID:
Mullin told The Leader that his most memorable goals were against Stockport in the FA Trophy and against Boreham Wood on the day we secured promotion back to the Football League. The Stockport goal was extremely important because it meant we’d make it to Wembley. Every footballer wants to play at Wembley Stadium, and I’ve done so with Tranmere. I did not play, despite the fact that my entire family was present. So, beating Stockport and scoring that goal was fantastic.”

Did you know?
Mullin said on his amazing score against Boreham Wood, which came on the same day that Wrexham was promoted back to the Football League: “I knew what I wanted to do when I grabbed the ball and just did it. It was a beautiful goal, but because of the importance of the game and the pressure on us to win and return to the Football League. I subsequently got a second, and the manager pulled me off in the 88th minute.

“I remember sitting next to Anthony Forde in the dugout and he said ‘well done’, but I was having none of it because I wanted the final whistle to blow so we could start celebrating the job being done. That This was a day I will never forget. I enjoy playing football and scoring goals, and I admire this football team and its fans. They have provided me with wonderful support.” What is next for Wrexham?
Mullin has already become a Wrexham legend, and he will be expecting to provide many more wonderful memories for the club’s devoted fans. With Reynolds and McElhenney at the helm, and the prospect of future investment, the Red Dragons are aiming for the Championship and Premier League.
