According to reports, Fulham will try to recruit Newcastle United’s 32-year-old English striker Callum Wilson during the January transfer window.
Fulham is reportedly interested in Callum Wilson, according to a report from The Sun. The Newcastle United forward is the target of the Cottagers, who are eager to add a striker during the January transfer window. The English international is a desirable choice for the West London club because of his £46,000 weekly salary.

Callum Wilson’s current adventure

When Callum Wilson made his Premier League debut with Bournemouth a few years back, he quickly established himself as one of the league’s most clinical strikers. The Englishman is a native of Coventry, having grown up there and attended Coventry City’s youth division until graduating.

But a decade ago, the 32-year-old gained notoriety after moving from Coventry City to Bournemouth. Before signing a contract with Newcastle United in September 2020, Wilson spent six years with the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium, where he continued to grow.

Despite experiencing fitness problems over the past four years, the English striker has continued to perform well, scoring 48 goals and providing 11 assists in more than 100 games for Newcastle United. Wilson, who has surfaced as a target for Fulham ahead of the winter transfer window, can, however, break ways with Newcastle United, who signed William Osula this past summer.

Is London calling?
It makes sense that Fulham is interested in Callum Wilson. Raul Jimenez has had a great start to the 2024–25 season, but during the past 12 months, he has not been a consistent player for the West London team. Two additional strikers in Marco Silva’s lineup are Rodrigo Muniz and Carlos Vinicius.

The latter, though, has fluctuated in form during his time at Fulham. Wilson has therefore become a realistic target for the Cottagers, and Marco Silva and the team find him to be an appealing alternative given his £46,000 weekly salary.

If a bidder made an alluring offer, Newcastle United would have approved Wilson’s permanent exit during the summer transfer window. In light of this, a winter exit could be imminent if Fulham can present a compelling offer in the upcoming months.
