Charles Leclerc CRASHES his £314,000 Ferrari in Monaco as viral video shows F1 ace driving into another car while cruising around his home nation

Charles Leclerc may have driven beautifully on his route to victory in the Monza Grand Prix last weekend, but he was seen on video crashing one of his personal vehicles into another just days later.

The Ferrari ace has had a mixed F1 season, with the Italian team showing glimpses of competitive performance while also struggling in some races throughout the year.

Leclerc is presently third in the drivers standings, 24 points behind McLaren’s Lando Norris, and will be looking to improve on his performance in Monaco where he crashed.

Coincidentally, the route where the 26-year-old crashed is also part of the Monaco F1 street circuit, where he won earlier this year in front of a raucous home crowd.

The low-speed crash shows Leclerc driving around a bend and colliding with the bumper of a black 4×4. Nobody appears to have been wounded by the road mishap, and Leclerc could be seen pointing animatedly after the incident involving his high-end sportscar, which sustained minimal damage.

He later drove away from the area when traffic eased, and neither of the affected drivers appeared to be particularly upset about the accident.

Meanwhile, the Ferrari driver will be hopeful that his driving blunders are only transitory when he returns to the track at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix next weekend, with the world championship title still up for grabs.

After his recent triumph in Italy, Leclerc stated, “It is an incredible feeling.” I expected the second time to be less spectacular than the first, but the emotions over the last few laps were identical.

‘I wanted to win Monza and Monaco every year, and I’ve succeeded. It’s really unique.’
