The QB phenom is improving game after game. Arch Manning is a natural quarterback. The Texas Longhorns superstar is the nephew of legendary NFL quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning, and he’s making his own way through college football.
Coming from such a prominent pedigree naturally raises expectations — and at only 19 years old, Arch is under a lot of pressure to satisfy those expectations, especially because he is playing for a program with as much history as Texas. Despite the growing curiosity in his style of play, the redshirt freshman remains as cool as a cucumber.

Manning led the Longhorns to a 51-3 victory over Louisiana-Monroe last weekend, but it was quite different to face Mississippi State in Texas’ first SEC conference game. Despite a poor start, the Longhorns cruised to a 35-13 victory, with Manning leading the way.
Former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III feels he has uncovered what distinguishes Manning after he destroyed the Bulldogs for 324 yards and two touchdowns. Manning exudes calm, comfort, and determination, as well as a constantly better sense of the game, taking whatever the defense puts in front of him.
Manning is caught between two worlds: he is under scrutiny because many expect him to carry on his family’s legacy of Super Bowl-quality quarterback play, but he also needs to grow and learn as a young man juggling college studies and starting under center for a prestigious football program.
