BREAKING NEWS : Video shows Ash Vale fire with huge flames and smoke billowing out of industrial estate

A passerby caught the blaze near Farnham. A video of the Ash Vale fire captures the massive conflagration at the industrial area near Farnham. Smoke can be seen billowing from the building, along with raging flames high in the sky.

The video, shot by a passerby, also shows fire crews on the site. Surrey Fire and Rescue tackled the fire in Ash Vale, which broke out last night (Wednesday, January 31) about 6 p.m. on Lysons Avenue. Firefighters are still on the scene this morning (1 February) to make the area safe.

Surrey Fire & Rescue Service responded to the fire and deployed five pumps and one aerial ladder to extinguish it.

It is unclear what ignited the fire, but residents in the region are advised to keep their windows and doors closed. It is also advisable to avoid the road entirely. It is unclear whether any injuries occurred as a result. The road is closed at both ends, from North Camp train station to Ash Vale station. It is unclear whether businesses along the route, which include garages, shops, and car dealerships, will remain open for the following two days.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are responding to an industrial building fire on Lysons Avenue in Ash Vale. Please avoid the area, and anyone nearby should close their windows and doors. “We’ll keep you updated.”
