JUST IN : What PSG manager Luis Enrique said after 4:1 against Newcastle United

Luis Enrique, manager of Paris Saint-Germain, presided over the club’s biggest Champions League group stage defeat in the QSI era, a 4-1 loss against Newcastle United. PSG’s defensive blunders were exploited by Eddie Howe’s Toons, with Miguel Almiron, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, and Fabian Schär all finding the back of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s net. For the visitors, PSG left-back Lucas Hernandez scored a consolation goal. The Spaniard believes the 4-1 result is unfair to the Magpies.
“Those are difficult games for a manager to live through,” the former Barcelona head coach told Canal+. Luis Enrique remarked that his team’s performance at the start of the game was excellent, mentioning PSG winger Ousmane Dembélé’s first scoring chance. “I sincerely apologize.”
