BREAKING NEWS : A 24-year-old lady was pronounced dead and two were brought to the hospital.

A 24-year-old was pronounced dead on the spot, while two women in their 60s were brought to the hospital. A 24-year-old lady died and two people in their 60s were sent to hospital after a car accident in Kilmarnock.

A Vauxhall Corsa and an Audi Q2 collided on the B7038 Ayr Road shortly after 9.30 a.m. on Monday, prompting the dispatch of emergency services to the scene.

 

The 24-year-old lady driving the Corsa was pronounced deceased on the spot.

 

Police Scotland confirmed that her next of kin had been notified.

The 67-year-old female driver of the Audi and her 64-year-old female passenger were both sent to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Police sergeant Martin Cunningham of the Road Policing Unit stated: “Our investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances of what occurred.

“Sadly, this young woman died, and our thoughts are with her family and friends.

 

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
