So far, Pedro Neto has been Wolves’ standout performer in the Premier League.
This season, the Portuguese winger has ripped the league to tears. He’s already provided four assists and has done so against great competition, causing headaches for Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Of course, Neto’s strong performances have piqued the interest of some major teams, like Arsenal and Liverpool.
However, according to Graeme Bailey of the Talking Transfers Podcast, Aston Villa may be the team to watch in this transfer window.
Bailey revealed what he knows about the £50 million man.
“Arsenal have had a long-standing interest in Neto; they were looking at him before his ankle injury, and they have been looking at him since he arrived at Molineux.” He’s a wonderful player, and I really like him. I was surprised to see Nunes go to City, because I expected someone to come in for Neto before Nunes. Aston Villa are the ones to watch here; they’re looking to improve their forward spots; is Leon Bailey the answer? Monchi will have his say, and Neto is a player to keep an eye on. There has been a lot of Premier League interest in Liverpool in the past, and I’d be surprised if they aren’t still interested.
Frightening
If Villa eventually acquire Neto, they will have one of the most frightening attacks in Europe.
Moussa Diaby and Ollie Watkins are already incredible, and when you add Neto to the mix, you have something genuinely exceptional.
Of course, with Arsenal and Liverpool circling, this deal will be difficult to complete, but Villa are on the rise, and these types of signings aren’t out of the question for Unai Emery’s team these days.
