BREAKING NEWS : Indiana Fever Fans Attempt to Pair Caitlin Clark With Major WNBA Free Agent.

Following the conclusion of the 2024 WNBA season, attention has moved to free agency, most notably for franchises that failed to make the playoffs or were eliminated early in the postseason. One of the few franchises that have consistently been named for arguably the top free agent in the market is the Indiana Fever. The Fever ended the 2024 season with a 20-20 record, listed as the No. 6 team in the WNBA standings. They were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round, despite having stars like Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

Following their elimination from the playoffs, many Indiana Fevr fans are calling for the franchise to add Dallas Wings free agent forward Satou Sabally. The WNBA veteran will be a unrestricted free agent in 2025 after spending five years with the organization.

Sabally recently spoke on her upcoming free agency, mentioning that there’s exciting decisions to come. “It’s a lot of movement for me this offseason,” Sabally said. “The decision of moving with a potentially different shoe brand and also the decision to change teams. I’ll be a free agent this year. I feel like this is just super exciting.”

The Wings star also liked a few comments on TikTok, which included the Fever. Since the end of te 2024 season fans have been recruiting the talented forwead, mentioning that she’d be a great pair with Clark, who just led the WNBA with 8.4 assist per game. “SATOU PLZ COME TO INDY WE LOVE U,” said one fan. “She wants to play in Indy.” said one fan with the eyes emoji. “I would like to see her playing with CC,” mentioned one fan. “I am already picturing her in Fever Uniform.” commented one fan. “she’s either going to the liberty or the fever nowhere else,” said one fan. “She wants to leave and it’s most likely going to come down to Liberty and fever.” said another fan.

 

During the 2024 WNBA season, Sabally averaged 17.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. She was limited during the regular season, playing 15 games, but Sabally has explained that she’s full rehabbed from her shoulder injury. After being selected with the with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA draft, Sabally will be headed into her sixth season in the league in 2025.
