Joao Gomes sends three-word message to Pedro Neto after reaction to Wolves 4-1 win vs Fulham

Wolves defeated Fulham 4-1 at Craven Cottage in week 12 of the Premier League season.

Wolves’ 2024/25 campaign has officially begun, however they had to wait until match day 11 to secure their first three points. Gary O’Neil was conscious of the pressure going into the game against Fulham, and his players did not disappoint, scoring four goals away from home.

Matheus Cunha terrorized Fulham, scoring two exquisite goals. Joao Gomes and Goncalo Guedes also scored.

Pedro Neto sent a message to Joao Gomes.
It was clearly Cunha’s day, but he wasn’t the only Wolves player to impress in the capital.

Gomes was outstanding in every way against Fulham, scoring, assisting, and defending brilliantly in the middle of the park.Joao Gomes sends three-word message to Pedro Neto after reaction to Wolves 4-1 win vs Fulham

The Brazilian celebrated the moment with an Instagram post that read, “Let’s go Wolves,” and included photographs of himself and his teammates rejoicing. As predicted, the comments section was swamped with well wishes, including one from Pedro Neto, who quipped, “left foot nahhhh,” admiring his old teammate’s performance.

Gomes responded to the Chelsea winger by stating, “I miss you,” something most Wolves fans would agree on.

Neto was not the only star player to react to Gomes’ performance; the midfielder received a lot of acclaim.

Andre: Jogo muito.
Nelson Semedo: Lay it down, bro.
Daniel Bentley: These photography sessions are now paying off.
Pablo Sarabia: Gomes was in top form against Fulham.
The Wolves midfielder would have been devastated to miss out on a Brazil call-up, but he is doing everything he can to get back in.

Gomes was simply unplayable against Fulham, as evidenced by his statistics from a historic day at Craven Cottage.

A score, an assist, some tidy passing, and a huge defensive shift rounded up the 23-year-old’s just outstanding effort.

Wolves fans are not surprised to see Gomes perform at such a high level, as they have seen what the Brazilian can give since his January 2023 transfer from Flamengo.

If Julen Lopetegui’s signing can continue to dazzle like he did against Fulham, the Old Gold have a good opportunity of turning their season around.
