Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has done almost everything he can to keep the team’s slim playoff hopes alive.
Despite the fact that the Bengals won only one of their three games in November, Burrow was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month by the NFL on Thursday after putting up some mind-boggling numbers.
Over three games, the former No. 1 overall pick completed 61.4% of his passes for 1,035 yards, 12 touchdowns, and a passer rating of 107.7.
During that span, the Bengals score 41, 34, and 27 points. They finished 1-2 in those three games, with the defense giving up more than 30 points in both losses.
Burrow
is enjoying an MVP-caliber season, despite the fact that he will most likely not be in contention due to the team’s terrible performance this season.
Burrow has completed 67.7% of his throws in 12 games, totaling 3,337 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions for a passer rating of 107.4. His 278.1 passing yards per game lead the NFL, and his 1.1% interception percentage is expected to be the lowest in his career. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, even Burrow’s herculean efforts under center may not be enough to keep their postseason aspirations alive.
