Nottingham Forest fans have reacted to the news that a Premier League player has just become available as January approaches.
The January transfer window could be crucial to Nottingham Forest’s European ambitions, as recent games have exposed a few needs for improvement.
In January, at least two positions must be considered: striker and maybe winger.
Ramon Sosa has unable to make an impression, while being given limited opportunities, whilst Jota Silva has been deployed in a variety of roles.
Meanwhile, Chris Wood is Nottingham Forest’s sole major contributor in the final third, and his backup, Taiwo Awoniyi, hasn’t looked the same since returning from injury.
Interestingly, it appears that Nottingham Forest supporters have their eyes on a potential addition after hearing who’s been made available. Newcastle United made Harvey Barnes available.
Harvey Barnes has been Anthony Gordon’s backup in the Premier League this season.
Despite this, he has four goals and one assist in five starts, including an assist at the City Ground in the 3-1 victory. Of course, there is one issue: his links to rivals Leicester City.
According to iNews, Harvey Barnes might be made available in January as Newcastle try to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.
Interestingly, Newcastle had previously expressed interest in Anthony Elanga, so perhaps there is something to be worked out between the two clubs. Nottingham Forest fans react to Harvey Barnes’ announcement.
Many Nottingham Forest fans, chatting on X, stated the same thing about Brennan Johnson. @chrissnow2 mentioned these Leicester links: “Yes…I agree. Forget the Leicester connections, he’s a player.” @LightersLighter added, “He was hit and miss toward the end before moving to Newcastle. He hasn’t accomplished anything while at Newcastle. So we should get him for a deal, and then the romance of Nuno and the City Ground will spark.
