The Scotsman reports that Leeds United is one of the clubs interested in signing Brighton attacker Evan Ferguson on loan.

Leeds will surely be looking for a new striker as concerns about their striking depth persist, and Ferguson is apparently on the Whites’ radar. Sunderland, along with Scottish giants Celtic, are said to be interested in the report (18 December).

Dor Turgeman has also been linked with an Elland Road move (Sport5) ahead of what is expected to be a hectic transfer window. The signing of a clinical striker could prove to be the difference for Leeds in their push for a Premier League return and Ferguson would fit that bill and more. It is certainly one of two key areas that must be addressed at Elland Road with the goalkeeping department another area that needs to be addressed with Illan Meslier potentially on his way out in January.Brighton make £60m-rated Evan Ferguson available on loan in January

If Leeds can fix these two shortcomings in their team, their chances of promotion will improve dramatically.

In the coming weeks, all eyes will be on the January transfer market, which has the ability to determine who will be promoted to the Premier League this season.
