1. Randall Grichuk.

Grichuk hasn’t earned a lot of attention this offseason. Grichuk, a 33-year-old right-handed hitter, is coming off one of his greatest seasons, in which he appeared in 106 games for the Diamondbacks and batted.291/.348/.528 with 34 extra-base hits and a wRC+ of 139. In 2024, Grichuk had an OPS of.913 versus left-handed pitching, but he was also above average against right-handed pitching with an OPS of.801. The disadvantage of Grichuk is his age, and

He is not a very good defender. Grichuk has had above-average outs in the last three seasons (-3, -6, and -4). Antonio Santander
Santander, like Grichuk, is coming off one of his best seasons yet. The 30-year-old right-handed hitter hit.235/.308/.506 in 2024, with 71 extra-base hits and a wRC+ of 129. Santander does not have a wide split, having an OPS of.822 versus left-handed pitching and.793 against right-handed pitching. The issue is that Santander may be beyond of the Reds’ price range and isn’t a decent defender. Over the previous four seasons, his outs above average have been -3, -2, -6, and -7.

3. Jurickson Profar.Jurickson Profar of San Diego Padres has taken road less traveled to first All-Star Game - Yahoo Sports

Profar is coming off the greatest season of his career, when he hit.280/.380/.459 with a wRC+ of 139. He struck out in only 15.1% of his plate appearances. He had 53 extra-base hits and ten stolen bases. Profar is a switch hitter who performed well on both sides of the plate in 2024. He had an OPS of.823 batting right-handed and.885 batting left-handed. Eight of his 24 home runs came while batting left-handed, and the remaining 16 came from the right side. However, Profar has been inconsistent throughout his big league career, with only four seasons with a wRC+ of 100 or more (2018, 2020, 2022, 2024) in 11 seasons, and he is not a solid defensive player. He played. 148 games in the outfield for the Padres in 2024 and had -7 outs above average. He has the 29th most outs above average among all Major League left fielders.
