Jack Harrison scored his first goal for Everton in a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Goodison Park on Saturday, and both Gary Lineker and Danny Murphy were delighted with the out-on-loan Leeds United player.
Harrison made his debut after recovering from an injury suffered while at Leeds. Harrison joined Everton on loan in the summer and made his debut in the Carabao Cup against Aston Villa, which Everton won 2-1.
After coming on as a substitute in Everton’s 2-1 loss to Luton Town, he started against Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth on Saturday. In the 3-0 triumph, he had a goal and an assist, scoring a lovely lob from 25 yards.
A corner was cleared, and Harrison took advantage with Neto off his line.
Harrison made excellent use of the bouncing ball, elevating it over the Brazilian goalie. On Match of the Day, Murphy and Lineker both praised him.
“Harrison, who’s come into the team from Leeds, what a finish,” Murphy commented after the goal on Saturday night. What a fantastic performance from him as well, he was so upbeat in his play.”

A stunning goal that demonstrates Harrison’s status as a Premier League player. Everton’s win was excellent, with Harrison helping Sean Dyche’s men turn around a poor start to 23/24 – only their second League win.
While keeping Harrison would have been a huge boost for Leeds, it is evident that he is a player who, at this stage of his career, needs to be playing in the top flight. Leeds, perhaps, will be able to return.
Then you have an opportunity to persuade the ex-Manchester City player to stay at Elland Road. His loan to Everton is considered to be without a permanent clause, which provides us a chance to keep him.
