Thomas Woodward, a midfielder for Swansea City Under-18s, has scored three goals so far this season and is motivated to continue helping his side.
In Saturday’s away loss to Hull City, Woodward, who signed scholarship terms with the team in July, scored the only goal for the Swans.
After scoring for the under-21s against the East Yorkshire club at the Swansea.com Stadium, he scored again against the Tigers the following week.
The experience of playing in the stadium was fantastic. You have to work more since the pitch is bigger, but I really enjoyed it,” remarked Woodward.
“Since I’m still young, I’ve recently traveled and trained with the under-21s; it’s been a great experience and challenge for me.
“Scoring a goal after I was introduced was fantastic, especially in front of a crowd and to support my teammates.
“It inspired me to work harder to pursue more opportunities at that level, but wherever I play, I want to give it everything I’ve got and keep supporting the team.”
